BEHAVE is the flagship event of the European Energy Network. In 2025, we will welcome you to attend the 8th edition of the biannual event focusing on the application of behavioural insights in energy efficiency and climate mitigation. As an important conference for national energy agencies in Europe, BEHAVE provides a unique forum for policymakers, academia, industry and practitioners to share ideas and experiences in promoting effective solutions for reducing CO₂ emissions and mitigating climate change. The main theme of BEHAVE 2025 is “From energy efficiency to sufficiency: the need for a change in lifestyles to ensure a just transition to carbon neutrality”. This conference edition will broaden its scope from energy efficiency to sufficiency under all its forms within different sectors – energy, housing, transport, food, digital - highlighting the importance of going beyond behaviour change – to lifestyles change, if we want to ensure a just transition to carbon neutrality.
